In order to meet or pass each other:
Total track = 8 km
Total speed = 12 + 8 = 20km/h
Time taken to pass each other = 8/20 = 0.4 h = 24mins
Therefore, they pass each other at 9am + 24mins = 9.24am
Total track = 8 km
