Method 1
190/2000 x 100%
= 19/2 x 1%
(zeroes in the numerator and 100% cancel out the zeroes in the denominator)
= 9½% or 9.5%
Method 2
100% → $2000
1%→ 2000 ÷ 100 = $20
$190 ÷ 20 = 9½ or 9.5
So percentage is 9½% or 9.5%
