First hour : $2
Every additional ½ hour : $0.90
2.30pm to 5pm :
0500 - 0230 = 0460 - 0230 = 0230
So that's 2 hours 30mins , which equals 2½ hours.
2½ hours = 1 hour + 1½ hours
1½ = 3/2 = 3 x ½
So 1½ ÷ ½ = 3
So cost of subsequent 1½ hours
= 3 x $0.90
= $2.70
Total cost = $2 (for first hour) + $2.70
= $4.70
Every additional ½ hour : $0.90
