pls help
Using fractions, Tap A would have filled 1/6 of half the tank in 1 minute and Tap B would have filled 1/4 of half the tank in 1 minute.
Hence, in 1 minute, both taps would have filled 1/4 + 1/6 = 5/12 of half the tank. Since in 1 minute both taps fill 5 out of 12 of half the tank. It would take 2.4 minutes (12 divided by 5) to fill half the tank.
Hope this helps.
