If you notice the longer side of one tile is the same length as 3 of the shorter sides.
That 56cm is made of 1 longer and shorter side. So it's the same as 3 shorter sides and 1 shorter side added together
3 + 1 = 4 shorter sides = 56cm
1 shorter side = 56cm ÷ 4 = 14cm
So the shorter side is 14cm
