Machine A folds 8 more towels per minute than Machine B.
So in 100 minutes,
8 x 100 = 800
Machine A has folded 800 more towels than Machine B.
Machine B took 180 minutes to fold the same number of towels as Machine A.
180min - 100min = 80min
This means that it needed 80 more minutes to fold 800 more towels to reach the same total number as Machine A did in 100 minutes.
Machine B's rate : 80 min, 800 towels
So 800 towels ÷ 80min = 10 towels/min
Machine B folds 10 towels per minute.
In 180 minutes,
10 towels x 180 = 1800 towels
Since Machine A folded the same number of towels,
Total towels folded
= 1800 x 2
= 3600
So in 100 minutes,
8 x 100 = 800
