Average here mean:
Let say
1st day read 20 pages
2nd day read 12 pages
Therefore average every day (20+12) /2day=16

If
1st day read 20 pages
2nd day read 12 pages
3rd day read 18 pages
4th days read 14 pages
Average = (20+12+18+14)/ 4days= 16pages
