1 m is 100 cm

1 m3
= (1 m)^3
= (100 cm)^3
= (100 cm) x (100 cm) x (100 cm)
= 1 000 000 cm3

Ziyi, to do these type of questions, the easiest way to do them is to separate the numbers from the units, then convert the units respectively.

For example,

8 g in 2 cm3
= (8/2) g/cm3
= 4 g/cm3

But 1 g = 0.001 kg and 1 cm3 = 0.000001 m3 (5 zeroes after the decimal, followed by the 1)

We replace the g in the numerator and the cm3 in the denominator by these values before doing the conversion.

There are many methods to do the conversion. Choose the method you are most comfortable with.
