In my personal opinion, this is not a good explanation but the method and answer is right.
For the remaining block, the volume is 275cm³ and length is 11cm. As what the student knows, volume=length×breadth×height. Therefore, once we take 275cm³ to divide 11cm(ans: 25cm), we will find the length × breadth. Since it is a cube, the length and breadth are equal, so we square root 25cm(ans: 5cm)

PSLE students are encourage to do a proper working and method. If the answer wrong, you still entitled to get method mark in exam if method and working is correct.
