radius of quarter circle: r

(a)
if we take 134-50 = 84,
we get the length of 7r.

so radius r = 12 cm

(b)
area of quarter circle
= 22/7 x 12 x 12 x 0.25
= 792/7 cm²

area of square
= 24x24 = 576 cm²

area of remaining paper
= 576 - 792/7 = 462 6/7 cm²

Since the perimeter of the quarter circle is equal to the highlight on the diagram, I subtracted 50 from 134 to find 6 units(6 radii of circle/length of 1 small square)
