There are 9 quarters in 2 and 1/4

Ans is 9, not 9/4
They Ask For How Many Quarter so u take the numerator As the answer u dont have to take the whole fraction as the answer

Answer is nine cause 2 wholes means 4+4=8 and u have to add 1 more so it is 9
