If each stock of rose was cheaper by 20cents then we can calculate the price he paid for each rose.
Price of each rose=1.1-0.2=0.90
Each rose cost $0.90
Total price of 10 roses =0.90 x 10= $9.00
If he was give a 5% discount on TOP of this then his bill was= 95% x 9 = $8.55
