After 7 days, fraction of food left in Bag A
= 1 - 7/15
= 8/15
(This means 8 out of 15 units)

After 7 days, fraction of food left in Bag B
= 1 - 7/21
= 14/21
= 2/3
(This means 2 out of 3 units)

Since the amount of food left behind in both bags is the same after 7 days, the number of units are the same.
So we make the numerator the same since it represents the number of units.

2/3 = 8/12

From this we can see that :

Number of units in Bag A at first is 15, and 12 in Bag B. And both had 8 units left in the end.

Total at first = 15 units + 12 units = 27 units

27 units = 63kg

1 unit = 2⅓kg

Original amount of food in bag B at first
= 2⅓kg x 12
= 28kg
