Hmm I think your solution is correct :)
If you're not sure why.
Its because by calculating area of all three squares you're added in the overlap areas twice. So removing the overlap areas once would give h the right area

Your workings are correct. Just the drawing is kind of not to scale. The overlap for the top left and middle square should be larger.
