time from A to B: u (= 1 unit)
time from B to C: 40-10-u = 30-u
distance from A to B
= 60 x u/60 = u km
distance from B to C
= 80 x (30-u)/60 = (40 - 4u/3) km
distance from A to C = 36
=> u + 40 - 4u/3 = 36
u = 4x3 = 12
distance from A to B = 12 km
time from B to C: 40-10-u = 30-u
distance from A to B

distance from B to C

distance from A to C = 36
