Hello! May i ask why did you sub t=2 for part (ii) ? I don’t quite understand how come we can do this..

Cus at t=2, the particle made a u-turn. We know this because at t=2, v= 0 and at t=6, the particle is back at O. So we know the furthest the particle is away from O is at t=2. And since the distance back to O is the same, we simply have to multiply by 2.
