Hello! May i ask why did you sub t=2 for part (ii) ? I don’t quite understand how come we can do this..

Hi Sonia!
The object went from the origin to the furthest point at t=2s, as can be seen on the s-t graph.
(We’ve calculated t=2s to give a maximum point of displacement earlier)
The object then returned from the furthest point to the origin by t=6s.
The whole journey was to and fro the origin to the furthest point. As such you just need to find the distance travelled one way and multiply by 2.
