If you put 6 blocks of Z together, you will get a combined length of 30cm and combined width of 30cm. So the square base is 30cm by 30cm

The answer is 9 for (b).

It should be 9, dividing the total volume of the box by the volume of block Y will not work here as you can't cut up the blocks to fit into the remaining spaces in the box which would be too small for another box
