Stuck trying to find the triangle height

Or actually is there a need to find the height?
The answer is a) 64 and b) 192cm

You don't need the height.

Once you solve part a), you can already find the area of the square cloth by adding up all the areas of the triangles.

Then you can find one side of the square and then find the perimeter from there.

This is how you can divide the square. Follow the pattern for the edges as shown in the diagram first.

The lines are abit off but the idea is that you can get 16 smaller squares , with each square having 4 triangles.

4 rows/columns x 4 smaller squares per row/column x 4 triangles per smaller square = 64 triangles
