(i) Length of arc AB = 15 x 1.2 = 18 cm

(ii) Do not assume that angle OKA is 90 degrees!

2 OK = 3 BK
This means that OK / BK = 3/2
So OK is 3 units, BK is 2 units, OB is 3 + 2 = 5 units
Since OB = 15 cm, OK = 3/5 x 15 = 9 cm

(iii) Area of sector AOB
= 0.5 x 15^2 x 1.2
= 135 cm2

In triangle AOK, OA = 15 cm, OK = 9, angle AOK = 1.2 rad

Area of triangle AOK is 0.5 (15) (9) sin 1.2 = 67.5 sin 1.2

Area of shaded region = 135 - 67.5 sin 1.2 cm2
= calculator value
