A rhombus is a four sided figure whose sides are all equal. The nice thing about rhombuses is that their diagonals meet at right angles.

As seen in the working, for a rhombus whose diagonals are 10 cm and 24 cm, the side of the rhombus is 13 cm each. The converse may not be true. If a rhombus has sides 13 cm, the diagonals may have different lengths depending on the angles in the rhombus.

For your information, a square is a special case of a rhombus where all angles are 90 degrees.
