It’s a ratio. Still confuse how to use the model method

Huda has 24 marks more than Connie.
Huda : Connie = 8 : 11
(You can draw 8 rectangles and 11 rectangles as units)
Difference is 3 units
3 units —> 24
1 unit —> 24 / 3 = 8
8 units —> 8 x 8 = 64
So Huda has 64 marks.
