For p3, it's best to stick to guess and check as I think assumption is not taught yet. (I'm not clear with MOE syllabus)

I start with almost equal no. Of tables and stools 12 and 13. After the 1st try, i realise that the total 87 legs is greater than the 80 legs we need. So i decrease the no. Of tables which has more legs by one to 11 tables.
After the 2nd try, i see that the total no. Of legs is now 86 (1 less than on the 1st try). So i know that by decreasing the no. Of tables by one, the total no. Of legs will decrease by one.
To get 80 legs i need to decrease 86 by 6, so i decrease the no. Of tables by 6 to be 5 tables on the 3rd try. This gives me the correct total of 80 legs.
