John has 186 jelly beans and Robert has 120 jelly beans. How many jelly beans does John have to give to Robert so that he has 30 more jelly beans than Robert in the end?

R: 120 + u

186 - u = 120 + u + 30
u = 18

J gives 18 jelly beans to R.
