For the solution provided by Winson, the greatest angle of depression is also angle XEA (alternate angles).
The greatest angle of depression is subtended at the point of perpendicular distance from A to BD (ie the shortest distance from A to BD)
For the rest of the question, answers can be found easily using sine and cosine rules.
