Notice the layers are like this :
Layer 1 :1 x 1 = 1 cube
Layer 2 : 3 x 3 = 9 cubes
Layer 3 : 5 x 5 = 25 cubes
Layer 4 : 7 x 7 = 49 cubes
Each layer has always 2 more cuboids per side than the previous layer .
So in figure 5, the new layer will be 9 cubes x 9 cubes.
