Let x be the curved length in figure 4 and r be the radius of the circle.
Figure 2: 4x + 2r = 36 ---(1)
Figure 4: x +2r = 19.5 ---(2)
Taking the difference:
(1)-(2): 3x = 16.5
Thus, x=5.5cm
Circumference of original paper is 8x which is equal to 5.5 x 8 = 44cm
