Figure 2 = ½ x circumference of circle + diameter = ½ x circumference + 2 x radius
= 36cm

Figure 4 = ⅛ x circumference of circle + 2 x radius = 19.5cm


Difference between these two figures
= ½ x circumference - ⅛ x circumference
= ⅜ x circumference

Difference also = 36cm - 19.5cm
= 16.5cm

so 16.5cm = ⅜ of circumference

⅛ = 16.5cm ÷ 3 = 5.5cm

Circumference = 5.5cm x 8 = 44cm
