You need to draw this graph on a piece of graph of paper using appropriate scales on both axes and then read off the turning points and intercepts from the graph; no solving by algebraic methods since the questions require you to draw the graph on graph paper.

Algebraically speaking, the x-intercepts of the equation y = 0.25 x2 + x are when

0.25x2 + x = 0
x2 + 4x = 0
x (x + 4) = 0
x = 0, x = -4

The line of symmetry must be the vertical line passing through average x-values of these intercepts, so the line of symmetry is x = -2.

Sub x = -2 into the original equation, y = -1 so the turning point is (-2, -1).

As explained earlier, the x-intercepts are -4 and 0, so the respective coordinates are (-4, 0) and (0, 0).

Obviously the y-intercept is 0 so the coordinates are (0, 0).

On your graph, you should be getting similar values. You can use a scale of say 2 cm to represent 1 unit on the x-axis and 2 cm to represent 0.2 units on the y-axis. Should be more than sufficient since the corner values of y when x = -5 and x = 1 are both 0.25 and the distance from 0.25 to the minimum value -1 is 1.25 units.
