Anyone can contribute an answer, even non-tutors.
Pls help me with this pattern. Show me in detail. Thank you:)
Pattern 2 : 4 squares, 4 = 2 x 2
Pattern 3 : 9 squares, 9 = 3 x 3
Pattern 4 : 16 squares, 16 = 4 x 4
Notice total number of squares in a particular Pattern = Pattern number x Pattern number.
Shaded squares in Pattern 3 = 1
1 = total number of squares in Pattern 1
Shaded squares in Pattern 4 = 4
4 = total number of squares in Pattern 2
So number of shaded squares in a pattern
= total number of squares 2 patterns before it.
(Exception is Pattern 2 and Pattern 1, since there are no patterns that are 2 before them)
