Need help with part i) of this question. I thought initial current meant t = 0. So I simply subbed that into the equation and could not get the right answer.

This is a topic on exponential and logarithmic functions.

Yes you are correct.

Realise that when t = 0,

i = V/R (e^0)
i = V/R (because e^0 = 1)

i = 220/2700 A
i = 0.0815 A (3s.f.)

Thanks! Just realised that exponents have priority in order of operations. That's why I couldn't find the answer.
