So since the number of buns is an unknown we'll label it as x. Since she made 150 more sausage buns than sardine buns, we'll say:
Total number of sausage buns at first = x + 150
Total number of sardine buns at first = x
Since she has 86 buns after selling 4/5 of sausage buns and 1/2 of sardine buns. The remaining number of sausage buns will be 1/5 sausage buns and 1/2 sardine buns which is equivalent to 86.
