2p² - 6p + 3 = 8q² + 12q + 3
p² - 3p = 4q² + 6q
p² - 4q² = 3p + 6q = 3(p+2q)
(p+2q)(p-2q) = 3(p+2q)
(p+2q)[(p-2q) - 3] = 0
(p+2q) = 0 or (p-2q) - 3 = 0
p + 2q = 0 or p - 2q = 3
ans: p - 2q = 3
p² - 3p = 4q² + 6q
p² - 4q² = 3p + 6q = 3(p+2q)
(p+2q)(p-2q) = 3(p+2q)
(p+2q)[(p-2q) - 3] = 0
(p+2q) = 0 or (p-2q) - 3 = 0

ans: p - 2q = 3
I think the question’s given condition is wrong. It should be ‘p is not equal to -2q’, not ‘p is not equal to 2q’.
