No need to use multiplication. Realise that the number of coins for the particular week is aways higher than the previous weeks' number by the current week number.

For example , for week 4, 13 coins are added.

9 + 4 = 13 (9 is the number for week 3)

So just keep going on until you reach 105.

If you want to find the number of coins added each week, the formula that works here is

½(n² + n + 6),
where n = the week number.

To find a formula for the total for n weeks is beyond P6 level.

(If you're interested, it's (n³ + 3n² + 20n)/6)
