You have already found the height and base of the unshaded triangle. So you can find its area.

Then, subtract it from the area of the whole rectangle ABCD to get your answer.

1. Find the area of the triangle first.
2. Find the total area
3. Subtract the area of the triangle from the total area and you will get the shaded area.
