4/5 is chocolate
1/5 is butter

5/8 of chocolate sold = 5/8 x 4/5 of total
= 4/8 of total
= 1/2 of total

Cookies sold
= 1 - 1/3 of total
= 2/3 of total


So 1/2 of total + 125 = 2/3 of total

125 = 2/3 - 1/2 of total
= 4/6 - 3/6 of total
= 1/6 of total

Cookies sold
= 4/6 of total
= 4 x 125
= 500
