How to know coordinate c is (32,6)
The equation of line AC is
Y = (gradient)x + (y intercept)
Since gradient is 5/2, and y intercept is -10
The equation will be
Y = (5/2)x - 10
The coordinate of C is the intersection between equation line AC and the horizontal line DC
The horizontal DC equation is Y = 6
So to find coordinates of C, substitute y = 6 into the equation line AC
6 = (5/2)x - 10
(5/2)x = 16
X = 16 / (5/2) = 32/5
Coordinates of C: (32/5, 6)
Y = (gradient)x + (y intercept)
Since gradient is 5/2, and y intercept is -10
The equation will be
Y = (5/2)x - 10
The coordinate of C is the intersection between equation line AC and the horizontal line DC
The horizontal DC equation is Y = 6
So to find coordinates of C, substitute y = 6 into the equation line AC
6 = (5/2)x - 10
(5/2)x = 16
X = 16 / (5/2) = 32/5
Coordinates of C: (32/5, 6)
