The answer is $33.6, we want to find the difference between the cost of the pie and drinks, hence it is P-D. Do note that half of the original amount is 5/7 of the remaining amount after buying the pizza. Thus the other half which was spent ($24 + 2/7 of the remaining) is also equal to 5/7 of the remaining
