y = sin x is the basic graph. The modulus graph is straightforward.

y = 3 cos x is your typical cos x graph except that the max and min values are 3 and -3 instead of 1 and -1. The modulus graph is straightforward.

The other two are simply straight lines y = mx + c where c = 0.

Hi Kathy! For modulus, as Long as the entire function is within the modulus bracket (such as y = |x + 1| or y = |cos x - 1|), we only need to reflect anything below the x-axis to above the x-axis.

This DOES NOT extend to y = |x| + 1 where the + 1 is OUTSIDE of the modulus signs.

Fortunately, the questions here have everything INSIDE the modulus sign.
