Hi.. Is 4 times more.. Shouldn't it divided into 4 instead of 3 that your working show?
No..because Nurul did not spend anything and she has 4 times of what J left after J spend...
So the difference is 3units being what Nurul has more than J at first and qhatever J spends.

No. After Joel spent $147, Nurul has 4 times as much money.
4 times as much is not the same as 4 times more.
4 times as much means :
Joel = 1u
Nurul = 4u (4 times as much)
Difference = 3u more than Joel
4 times more means :
Joel = 1u
Nurul = 5u
Difference = 4u more than Joel
