T = cd + 0.01ef
(ii)
e = (-145c)/(4-c)
=> 150 = (-145c)/(4-c)
=> 600-150c = -145c
=> c = 120
d = (f+5)/50
=> 3 = (f+5)/50
=> f = 145
T = 120x3 + 0.01x150x145
= $577.50
T = cd + 0.01ef

It’s a straight forward substitution question, except that f is actually in cents so it may trick some students. It explains for the expression having /100.
