Total number of man-hours worked by the 20 men in 54 days = 20 x 8 x 54
= 8640

So it takes 8640 man-hours to construct the house.

For 18 men working 7.5 hours a day,

Number of man-hours worked in 1 day
= 18 x 7.5
= 135 hours

Number of days taken to build the house
= 8640 ÷ 135
= 64

So 64 - 54 = 10

So it takes 10 more days
