Length of Square À = 1/2 of the length big square
Fraction of the area of A against area of big square
= 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4

Length of Square B = 1/2*1/2 of the length of big square
Fraction of Square B against big square
= 1/4*1/4 = 1/16

Length of Square C = 1/4* 1/2 = 1/8
Fraction of area of C against Big square = 1/8 * 1/8 = 1/64

Area unshaded = 1- 1/16- 1/64- 1/4 = 43/64
