Hi Clarine, key words of this question is “ 18% of them had neither rabbits nor terrapins “ “ 90 of them had neither rabbits nor terrapins “ means 18% —-> 90.
18% no pets.
100 - 18 = 82% have pets
75 + 64 =139% (the excess is due to double counting those who owns rabbits AND terrapins)
139-82 = 57%
18% = 90
57%= 285
Answer should be 285.

If you draw a venn diagram, it is quite straightforward. Summing up those with rabbits (75%) and those with terrapins (64%) wil double-count those who have both rabbits and terrapins.
