Adults = 1 unit
Boys + Girls = 2 units
Total = 3 units

Adults + Boys = 2 units
Girls = 3 units
Total = 5 units

We know that the total number of people doesn't change. So we make the number of units the same.

Adults = 1 unit → x 5 = 5 units
Boys + Girls = 2 units → x 5 = 10 units
Total = 3 units → x 5 = 15 units

Adults + Boys = 2 units → x 3 = 6 units
Girls = 3 units → x 3 = 9 units
Total = 5 units → x 3 = 15 units

So Adults = 5 units, Girls = 9 units

Difference = 4 units

Since there were 400 more girls than adults,

400 = 4 units
1 unit = 400 ÷ 4 = 100

Number of people at the stadium
= 15 units
= 100 x 15
= 1500
