The terms in the sequence increases by 7.

2 + 7 = 9

9 + 7 = 16

16 + 7 = 23

To find out the 50th term in the sequence, we can look at the following pattern:

1st term = 2 = 0(7) + 2

2nd term = 9 = 1(7) + 2

3rd term = 16 = 2(7) + 2

Therefore, the 50th term is 49(7) + 2 = 345.

We are trying to find the nth term, such that (n - 1)(7) + 2 = 695.

Subtract 2 on both sides:

(n - 1)(7) = 693

(n - 1) = 99

n = 100

Hence, the number 695 is the 100th term in the sequence.
