Let's assume there are 60 10-cent coins. The total will be 60 * $0.1 = $6.
We are still lacking $22 - $6 = $16 which is our goal for this question.
For every 10-cent coin we change to 50-cent, the total will increase by $0.4 per coin changed.
$16 / $0.4 = 40, so there are 40 50-cent coins, and 20 10-cent coins.

The answer is 40.
