One Answer Below
Anyone can contribute an answer, even non-tutors.
What is smallest value n?
56 = 2³ x 7
1512 = 2³ x 3³ x 7
Notice the LCM has 2³ which 56 has. So n doesn't need to have 2³.
Notice the LCM has 7 which 56 has. So n doesn't need to have 7.
Notice that the LCM has 3³ which both 36 and 56 doesn't have. So, n must have 3³.
Smallest value of n = 3³ = 27
The idea of LCM is to take the prime factor which is present in one number but not the other numbers. And if all the numbers have the same type of prime factor, take the one with the highest power.
