Let the two digits be A and B.

Given :
A - B = 4, and A² + B² = 58,

now, recall (A - B)² = A² - 2AB + B²

So A² - 2AB + B² = 16

sub in A² + B² = 58,

58 - 2AB = 16
2AB = 42
AB = 21

Only 3 x 7 gives 21. So the two digits are 3 and 7.

The digit can be 73 or 37.

either one will be correct, as

7-3 = 4
7² + 3² = 49 + 9 = 58
