In the question, you want to cut all the strings into the same number of pieces. I.e cutting every string equally into X number of shorter strings. (This is different from cutting all the strings into the same length)
To do that you must find the highest common factor of the lengths.
Highest common factor after breaking down all the numbers into its factor form is 2. Hence answer is 2.
